OUR DOCKS: RESIDENTIAL FLOATING LAYOUTS
PLATFORM LAYOUTS
Platforms are used for a wide variety of purposes including swimming, fishing,
boat docking, and many other uses. Platforms offer the most economical dock
available and their sizes vary greatly depending on needs, aesthetics and
regulatory restrictions.

U-SHAPED LAYOUTS
U-Shaped docks offer an economical means in which to provide secure anchoring
for a watercraft. The major drawback to a U-Shaped dock is that it provides
little recreational area or space to hold items that could be conveniently
stored on the dock.

U-SHAPED W/ PLATFORM LAYOUTS
The U-Shaped with Platform (Wide Side) Layout is a very popular style and is
basically a U-Shaped dock with a platform connected alongside one or both
fingers or the header. The benefit of the platform is that it affords an open
area, typically uncovered by a roof, that can be used for recreational or other
purposes.

DOUBLE SLIP LAYOUTS
Double Slip docks are a common configuration for owners with two full size
boats. Like THE U-Shaped w/ Platform (or, Wide-Side layout), Double Slip docks
can have a platform located alongside a finger to provide a large footprint,
thereby providing a stable foundation relative to smaller Single-Slip docks and
Platforms.

MAIN SLIP/PWC SLIP LAYOUTS
The Main Slip/PWC Slip layout is a popular option because it can house and
protect a large boat and multiple PWCs (or jet-skis) while providing a large
area suitable for recreation.

CUSTOM LAYOUTS
A Wahoo™ representative works with each prospective dock owner to uniquely
design a dock system tailored to their individual needs and tastes. From the
smallest free floating platform to the largest marina, Wahoo Docks™ has more
experience than anyone to plan, design and build your vision. Regardless of
the general design, each Wahoo™ Dock is constructed using high strength,
rust-resistant aluminum, structural components and stainless steel fasteners.
These materials virtually eliminate maintenance and ensure that our docks are
the most durable and aesthetically pleasing docks on the water.

OUR DOCKS: COMMERCIAL FLOATING LAYOUTS
FISHBONE
A Fishbone style dock is a multi-slip dock that has slips on either side of a
central walkway. A ‘Fishbone Style’ design is typically the most efficient use
of space to allow for the maximum number of slips within an area and the most
cost efficient from a price perspective. This layout is typically used when a
multi-slip dock extends perpendicular to the shoreline. Anchoring for this style
of dock is typically achieved with pilings or cables and dead weights.

E-SHAPED LAYOUTS
E-Shaped layouts align slips along one side of a central walkway. This style is
typically used on occasions when a dock runs parallel with the shoreline or
other obstruction. Anchoring this style of dock is typically achieved with stiff
arms or pilings, although other methods can be used.

CUSTOM COMMERCIAL DOCK LAYOUTS
Using aluminum as the primary construction material affords Wahoo Docks™’
engineers the flexibility to design almost any dock imaginable. We can
incorporate a wide variety of features including upper decks and varying roof
styles and differing dock shapes. We have designed docks for purposes ranging
from marinas and community docks to floating bars and work platforms.

OUR DOCKS: FIXED PILING LAYOUTS
FIXED PILING DOCKS
In certain circumstances, docks are affixed to pilings (steel, wood, concrete,
PVC, or other types of pilings). Fixed docks are most commonly used in coastal
regions in inland waters where water level changes are not of significant
magnitude. The low maintenance features and longevity of a Wahoo Dock™ make it
as suitable in fixed dock applications as it is for floating dock uses. As a
result, Wahoo™ is becoming an increasingly popular option for fixed dock owners.
